The Buffalo Nickel is right of a page of Cowboys and Indians. With is Wild West appeal picturing a Buffalo on the reverse and Indian Head on the obverse. Even the Nickel color can reflect this rustic past. This appeal is very strong with collectors. Buffalo Nickel collectors are the most serious collectors in the hobby. Most spend decades putting together the perfect set of Buffalo Nickels.
The Silver Mercury Dime also out of Roman History as for that matter one would think with its beauty it could have been used by the Romans themselves. On the obverse is the Roman messenger god as with waiting to take flight and send this coin into the history books. The Mercury Dime has seen as the most beautiful coin the only thing holding it back is its size.
Silver Washington Quarter basically the same Washington Quarter you can find in your pocket today. All except the 90% silver. I wish these Quarters where still made with this precious metal if so we would think twice about trading them for a gum ball. I have often thought that in today era our change should be work more. Like it was back in the day for a Quarter you could catch a movie and even have popcorn and a drink. Today that would be like $25.
I often wish that the Walking Liberty Half Dollar was a Big as the Morgan or Peace Dollar. If so, it would by far be my favorite coin to collect. Sometimes it is like the Eagle looking so alive on the reverse is about to take off and sore into the sky it. Lady Liberty on the obverse reminds me of the Statue of Liberty in all of her glory. Walking Liberty Half Dollars are always one of collectors favorite finds.
Always one of the most fun coins to collect are the Silver Dollars. Almost now from a bye gone era of cowboys and robber barons. Famous for the silver dollar hoards that have be found by some eccentric collectors. Sometimes I wish a silver dollar came with a road map of its life and where it has been. One can only imaging the stories it could tell.
One of my favorite coins to collect is the Peace Dollar guess I just cannot get over the luster these things can have. Just like they were just of the US Mints press with their Blazing White Luster. I can remember my grandparents giving me these on most every special occasion. Matter of fact I still have them put away somewhere amazing to say with all the coin I have sold over the years. Seems like when it comes to childhood there are some things you just cannot get rid of.
Be sure to check out some of the Peace Dollars in my collection.

Why does Pete like to collect Morgan Silver Dollars?
I posed this question to him and the first response I got was somewhat like a child had answered. He said Morgan Dollars are big. Guess that goes back to the childhood thing in my early post. The next response, the old man’s answer came out Morgan Silver Dollars represent something of value both extrinsic and intrinsic. My dad is a very simple man; I cannot even tell you how many times he has told me to keep it simple. To me it seems like keeping it simple has allowed him to enjoy his life long collection of Morgan Dollars.
